Media Tool question

I'm following along with the Lynda training and trying to manage my media at the end of a small project (that I created, not one of the exercise files from the course).

I'm trying to select and save the media I want to keep and delete the rest for storage.

When I go to "Media Tool" and try to select "Select Media Relatives" from the fast menu, it's grayed out.

I'm assuming it's something I did wrong in the way I linked the media?
Some of the media is linked via AMA, and some of it I transcoded to DNxHD.

Any pointers?

Did you select clips or a sequence then choose "select media relatives"from that bin?

It's the fast menu for the media tools bin. But, yes, I tried clicking on the sequence, another bin, and all the "select media relatives" menus are grayed out.
