media encoder taking forever to start

Hi all,


I need to render a 60sec spot that was rendered out of AE CS4 as a quick time file sorenson 3.
There are some minor adjustments in premiere CS4.
Now when I want to render a mpg2-dvd media encoder takes forever to load the project are doesn't even start rendering .
Now Ive render 3-8 min edits before but nothing like this has ever occured.

Any help would be appreciated ?
 
That happens. If you have a lot of footage inside the project (regardless of how much of it was actually used) AME will take a long time to even start. Clean up the project by removing unused files and it should help.
 
I thought that was the case but I imported the file into a new / clean project and it still took forever or just doesnt start rendering. Also I tried rendering a wav file from the audio channels and it worked, no pausing .
Had to bring the file into CS3 on another machine to render it in the end .
