I'm digitizing footage into my media composer 11.8 that was captured in the 24pa mode. I'm using a 23.976 project in Avid, and I tried a few different options. When you choose the 23.976, you have to make one more choice for the type of film you are using (16mm, 35mm 3perf, 35mm 4perf) after trying varios options, I still have not been able to get the video to play back smooth, there is always a jitter after the media is inside the Avid.
It seems to work fine if I use a 30i project, but when we are done with the film we're going to online with a symphony and then lay it off to HD, so I wanted to keep it 23.976 through the entire project!
Xpresspro W/mojo seems like it is more appropriate, but can this be done with this Avid? Do I need an Adrenaline? Thank you in advance!
