med quality vs most quality by 170 and 200

When logging footage I checked the inspector and noticed this:
With the HVX 200 the codec said most quality
With the HPX 170 the codec said med quality

Cannot figure this out.
When capturing the footage is there indeed a choice or is the
difference just between the two cameras.

Goal of course is to capture the quality in its best codec.

not enough info to answer your question. What platform and NLE are you using and what recording format are you shooting in?

When you say "capturing" footage I assume you mean "recording." "Capturing" footage is a term of art which typically means pulling footage off tape into your NLE or whatever (as in "log and capture" in FCP).

Anyway, the issue is with your NLE. There is no "quality" setting for footage on either camera when you're recording.

Both cameras use the DVCPROHD codec, which does not
have quality settings. Maybe you accidentally transcoded into
another codec--like photoJPEG or Animation--which does
have quality settings.

Verify that your media is indeed DVCPROHD.
