MC 5 System requirements? Really

Hi guys,
has anyone installed MC5 on Leopard? The Avid system requirements say that it has to be on Snow Leopard. Is that just strongly suggested or will it actually not install on Leopard? I really want to avoid Snow Leopard as I hate that quicktime X player that they insist on being the default player (rather than 7).
 
I believe that MC5 won't even install on Leopard. I tried and it said "Nope, you need Snow Leopard, dude." Or soemthing like that. So I installed SL fresh on a new drive and then installed.

Sorry that QT X defaults, but all you need to do is have QT7 in the dock, and drag the file onto that icon and it'll open in QT 7.

Thanks for the info man. The drag to the dock thing get s annoying after a while. Really hope they address this issue.
