MB Looks and sgpro test.

My settings are:

Master ped: "-6"
Gamma: "normal"
Matrix: "normal"
Detail level: "-4"

And the rest is set to zero :)

Cheers mate!

Thanks smettli once again great footage! Do you happen to know what your iris of your dvx and your lens were?

Smettli that was AWESOME!!! Thank you for sharing it with us. I too have the red artifacts problem and use Premiere with MB. I second the MB deartifacer solution. And I've noticed the reds are always worse for me when exported in Quicktime.

If I may ask a question, how do you export such clean dvx100 footage to Quicktime from Premiere? I've been doing this for a while now but still haven't been satisfied with any of my export settings in any format. It'd be a huge relief to export a file like that in Quicktime and I'd love to know your settings if you'd be so kind as to share.

Thanks again for the footage, keep it up.

i've downloaded all your footages this morning. it's totally awsome.
do you shoot with a PAL dvx?
i will buy a new cam this week and i'm wondering if i should take a pal or ntsc model because all the pal footages i've seen so far looked like a lot more videoish than 24p. but your videos are totally filmic. do you notice a visual difference between 24p and 25p (on DVXusers footages) and what shutter are you using mostly?
thanx and congrats!

I gotta tell you.. I stronly disagree with that:P sorry:P
For me it's so much better with 25p.. and I don't have to worry about pulldown or anything:P

Glad you guys like it :)

Ol23456789: I export my clip from premiere as a dv-AVI file, I then open that dv-AVI file in the quicktime pro player, and then I export the clip from the quicktime player as a h.264 file with the "quality bar"(in the video option menu) set to: 75(high), the sound is set to ACC 128kb. This will give you good quality compared to size :)

delaro: Yes, I do indeed shoot with a PAL dv. I have to agree with tommetass that I prefer 25p over 24p, a lot of it because 25p seem to have smoother movement over 24p(noticable in pans and such). Though I would always buy the format my Country supported, so if you are from France I would definately get a PAL model :)

Thanks again!

the red looks better.. I think its a problem that can always be fixed or at least touched up in post. Either way, quality work on this Smettli.
