Custom Title!
Well after failing to get my lossfest entry off of the ground in time I was inspired to actually get something done after hearing about Mr Forsman's Sabifest. So this is it. My Sabi/Lossfest entry. Has nothing to do with Lossfest really other than it does deal with loss and its what I came up with after failing to get my actually lossfest entry really moving...

Some Post-Production Thoughts...

Some Post-Production Thoughts...

Even if its just a two day shoot you will be sad at the end of it.
I miss my crew and actors. I have the privilege of editing their work now, but working with them directly has truly been an honor. They're good people and talented at what they do. Am glad they don't hate me yet and hope to work with them again soon.

Cast and Crew should be like family.
We fortunately shot over two days. Shooting at night gave us the interesting opportunity to spend the entire day of day 2 together wandering about and really getting to know each other. I think we are all very different people in many ways but that its complemented this production extremely well. Very much looking forward to this combination of players in future productions. Lots of passion to get this done and make it happen. Couldn't have pulled it off without these people.

Night = cold.
It gets cold at night. Next time, bigger jackets.

Monitoring audio in loud places is hard.
Not that we really ruined any audio, but a few mistakes here and there could've been avoided had we some better sealing cans than normal 7506's. Might've noticed the bit of difference of Chandler wearing a wool coat and Tyler not. Wool seems to clip the highs quite well. Already have that problem solved though - won't let it happen again next time :)

Nobody gives a **** what you do.
Try not to break the law, but if you want to shoot at McDonald's, a hospital, a city park, or while driving about the city, just do it. No one really cares. LA and NY may be a bit different of course but in good ol oklahoma no one seems to notice. Having a small camera package and minimal crew help too of course.

Audio is really freaking important.
Wasn't terribly impressed as I laid out the footage in the timeline. Then I paired up the audio. Damn it makes a big difference when you go from crappy D90 audio to nice sounding lavs recorded to a nice recorder... Without the good audio this would be unwatchable. Things like nice imagery and of course kick ass acting and a goody story are all part of the formula too. But audio is one part you can't be without.

That's all for right now - just some thoughts that have been stirring in the back of my head... back to editing...

Ok, so I've been letting this thread slip by a bit, but thought I'd update it as we are super close to being done.

A little audio massaging is all thats really left and it will soon go up live at sabiforums.com (July 4th I think?)

Also added a poster to the first post.
