Max weight on hot shoe?

How much weight can load the DVX down with? I have a 2.5 LCD monitor that would be great to attach to the hot shoe, is that to much weight? I would not be using an arm or anything, just the monitor right over the handle.

let me ask this to those who use the cold shoe on the dvx 100a...

i want to use an isareli arm with a cold shoe adapter on the dvx but i dont want to get a heavy arm that will cause the shoe to fail..

so anyone know the weight limit of the shoe? filmtools is out of the mini israeli arm so im looking at other alternatives.

this arm would be used with marius' led lite panel...
 
I don't know the technical limit for the shoe, but I mount a 5" LCD monitor (including its own battery) onto the shoe and I have no problems. Between the LCD, battery and hood it's probably over 2 pounds. Unless it's a really heavy Israeli arm you should be ok.
