I'm shooting a feature in a couple of weeks, with 70% being EXT shoot, so I think it's finally time I bit the bullet and got a mattebox. Before I go any further I'd like to point out that this is not another 'which mattebox is best' thread. My dilemma is that I have a Cinevate Durus follow focus, which I love and cannot see myself getting rid of. However the Durus has quite a wide gearbox so mounting a mattebox is very difficult. My question is if anyone has a solution for mounting a mattebox with the Durus? I noticed that Cinevate sell a large drive gear http://www.cinevate.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=238 which should give the gearbox a little bit clearance, has anyone tried this?
