In the catalogue printed for Europe that I have and is titled "AG-HVX200 Memory Card Camera-Recorder" Panasonic used Vocas Matte Box, Manfrotto head and Vinten tripod. Probably that should be a way to go.

Also you can see below the same set up with FX1E at my home that is now waiting for HVX200.

What model would you recommend? I was thinking of getting one with 15mm rods so I could get the 35mm adapter on there and possibly a follow focus. Do y ou know what would be needed as far as hardware and step up rings? Costs and recommendations for all are appreciated.

Does anybody has got a confirmation from Vocas: if AG-LA7200G Anamorphic Lens Adapter will fit with their MatteBox?

As the Matte Box doesn't attach directly onto the lens ( it uses 15mm rods) you can use the letus no problem. I use a redrock m2 with nikon lenses and it works a treat.

It doesn't fit the Anamorphic lens. Also, that lens has a 72mm thread and the HVX has a 82mm thread, so I would assume that lens wouldn't fit he HVX either.

Of course the Vocas 350 will fit. It will take lenses up to 92mm. The HVX200 will fit perfectly. Get the 350MB as its a wide angle matte box.

You really can't go wrong.

Guys,

I have got this messages from reseller of vocas stuff:
"You will not be able to fit the B2 kit to the Panasonic anamorphic lens adaptor as this adaptor is larger than 105mm diameter."
Can someone tell me if this is true? B/c I do not have yet such adaptor... :(

Has anyone looked at the Formatt FM500 82mm screw-in 4x4 Mattbox? It's heaps cheaper then the Vocas and doesn't need the big rod support base (if you want to keep the profile low but still need 4x4 filters)

i'm looking at the formatt, but not having rails kinda worries me. i'd have to put any sort of strain on the new hvx's threads... :)

I just sold a formatt recently on ebay. They are good value, but not a patch on the Vocas, and don't use rails, meaning if you knock the matte box you knock the lens.

If you want one, there is a seller on ebay who sells them for less than £100 and sells world wide. Do a search on ebay.co.uk.

Wakeup Guys, You do not use an anamorphic adapter on an HVX200 , that is only neccessary for widescreen on a DVX100. Its not an issue.

Sorry I was asking about DVX...
