Matrox Parhelia APV to output HD?

Hi,
I post this thread in the Avid section, but I'll try it here also.

So check this out:

So as you can read, this videocard can display 2 monitor (one DVI' one VGA) and also output an HDTV 1080 or 720 signal through component (for previewing)
Anyone ever tried this?
beacause it seems like a good and cheap solution (under 500$) to edit and have a HD preview monitor in the same time.
It says it works with Avid Xpress Pro 4 and up, Vegas, Premiere pro,...
Any feedback would be appreciated!

The matrox avpe works with canopus edius to output the HD signal - I was told this in their forums. I dont have edius so I cant really test it, but I do have a avpe on my wintel box and outputting for premiere pro is cool.
 
so basically it just outputs like a standard DV device would? and have you tried with Avid? because on their web site they say it works with Avid, but not with the WYSIWYG features like Premierepro or After Effects. Thanks.
