Matching HVX w DVX

I have been working on a doc for almost two years with most of the footage shot with the dvx 100, standard 4x3 format in 24p. Since owning the HVX 200, I couldn't resist shooting in 720p.

I am looking for the best way to merge the two formats. The final release will be over the local arts channel and later film festivals.

Either upres the SD footage or downres the HD footage. It really depends on what format the broadcaster will be requiring. If it were me I would do it all in an HD project first. Then, downres the master of the show if the broadcaster needs it in SD. That way you will always have an HD master for down the road.
 
Thanks Take 1. How do you suggest correcting the difference between the 4:3 with the DVX and the 16:9 with HVX?
 
The HVX has a 4:3 "Protect" area that can be activated. Shoot with this framing and then crop in post.
