Brand new to the HVX 200a and read on this site a post where someone had success using the HVX in squeeze and the DVX in letterbox, putting them on a 4:3 timeline and them matting them. Why I believed this was a good idea to experiment with on a paid shoot with an HVX camera I was learning the ropes on is beyond me, since all I had to do was shoot my DVX in squeeze as I usually do and there'd be no problem. The client certainly wouldn't have noticed much difference.
So, yeah, my DVX footage is simply stretched and I can't get FCP 7 to match the sequence setting to the clip settings, no matter what combination I try. I got it once by pure luck on a separate timeline but it won't import to my HVX timeline in 4:3.
Anyone with FC expertise care to tell me what steps I should take to get it where my DVX letterbox footage won't be stretched in the HVX timeline?
Your help will be greatly appreciated.
