HPX250: Matching HPX250 with HPX170

Hi,I could I match a HPX250 with a HPX170 in a live switching situation. The HPx170 give the skin tone a more redish/pink type of picture. I am connecting the 2 cameras via SDI to a Sony MCS-8M switcher. Both cameras scene files are set to normal. I will be shooting in 480i (DVC PRO on both cams)...the client wants a DVD...no HD needed.Thanks!Duane

Just because the scene file settings are the same, does not mean the images will be identical. Those two cameras use different imagers and different image processing. You're going to have to adjust the settings on one of them to match the other one, if you want the footage to match up. Also, be sure to do a manual white balance (do NOT use the presets) if you want the images to match.

Thanks Barry! And yes I was using manual white balance. The HPx250 seems to produce more accurate colors. I will try to tweak the image on the HPX170. thanks!
