Matching HMC150 footage with DVX

I'm curious how well HMC footage can/will match DVX footage?

I would down-res the HMC footage to 720 and I'm fine with that- actually, for this project, I prefer an SD look, I just don't have access to two DVX cameras.

My question is, how seamless (or not) would the two look, inter-cut with each other?

i would shoot squeeze with the dvx for starters. the 150 is going to look sharper and have less noise once down rezzed to SD. you should be able to get the colors etc. to match up pretty well. the manual states that using SD Norm gamma will better match the DVX series. I have never used this gamma and always usually shoot the Cine settings. Personally I would set them up the same scene files on both and white balance off the same white card in the same light and they should get pretty close.

My friend and I used to mix dvx and hmc footage. It sucked. Hmc just murders the dvx picture quality. Don't bother it's going to looks like CARP.
