Hi all,

We have an upcoming shoot in which we need to match an FS7 with and FS700. I haven't had a lot of luck online looking for advice, though it seems like this must be a common pairing.

Does anyone have any helpful advice? Any picture profiles I could download?

Thanks in advance.

I would use LUTcalc and make an Sgamut -> Sgamut3.cine LUT for the fs700. Depending on what you do kater you could also convert the gamma to slog3 or lc709a. That should give a nice start.

Not being an engineer, I use my Odyssey 7Q+ in Apollo mode. You put up both pictures side by side and generally a little tweaking with color shift and gamma, you can pretty much eyeball a close match. If you are of the geek squad, the 7Q+ has a vectorscope so you can bring that sucker right in.
I prefer my earlier method. That and always, always shoot a Macbeth chart so either the colorist of the editor can do the final.
