Can't seem to get a straight answer for this... Sorry if this has been covered

Two camera F3 shoot - need a match a paid slog F3 with F3 with only 1.4 firmware (no paid slog upgrade)

I'm wanting to send a 422 signal externally to recorder with slog look on both cameras.

Is slog on a non paid F3 w/1.4 just a picture profile setting? This is a rental and there doesn't seem to be any availability of slog on this F3 w/1.4 firmware. What am I missing here?

There's no problem there. The slog gamma is the exact same on both cameras with the set up you are talking about. The paid version allows so called 444 over dual link and 60P at 1080. It also has LUT's for viewing.

The 422 10bit out is the same on each camera. Just change the profile (profile button, scroll to gamma) gamma on the non-paid one to slog and you are set.
 
Thanks VinceinLA, this is what i figured... the curveball is that Gamma is not a selection listed in the PP. Maybe I should just re-update the software and it will take care of the problem.
 
I can confirm that slog via pp profile is only available from v1.4 firmware. I can't remember if you can load 1D LUTs without the paid slog/RGB upgrade however.. maybe someone else can confirm.
 
While I have the paid SLog update (until of course someone buys my F3), my recollection is that you can only load the LUT with the SLog/RGB option. But I have been known to be wrong before. Just ask my wife.
