I'm pretty sure this has been discussed, but when I tried to search for it the search function disallowed both "DVX" and "XL-2" as they are both far to common. So heres the situation-
I've been working on a short film which has been entirely (till this point) shot on an XL-2 (24p mode, 16X9). The director called me today and told me that the (final) shoot he planned for Saturday has been canceled due to actor availability. He has resceduled for tuesday but the XL-2 is not available that day for rent, in comes my DVX to the rescue. I told him we could get the footage to match reasonably well with a bit of post, but that it would probably work best if he rented the anamorphic adaptor, is this right? Assuming we get the adaptor, what other things should we consider? I am pretty sure that the Canon uses only one type of pulldown, but I am unsure of which one. Also, should I just set all dvx settings to 0? What is the best way to attempt to get these two to match? A link to another thread that deals with this will suit me just fine. Thank you all very much in advance.
