hello,

any rules of thumb for matching 2 dvx cameras...sometimes they match seemlessly and sometimes they are far from close. will a dvx-100 and an dvx-100A match?

what can i do i prinicple photography do avoid this...would different settings on each cameras affect the image in the long run?

what is the margin of error one has for fixing in post?
what kind of monitors should be used...or how does one control the image and "get what you want" by just utilizing the small "non accurate" LCD.

just some thoughts.
thank you for your input.

Re: Matching cameras

If the settings are the same on each camera they will be quite close in post. Master pedestal and Setup are no longer the same between the two cameras. The "A" camera fixed the 2.5 IRE difference between 0 and 7.5 by making it really 7.5 IRE difference. Shoot with 0 IRE to get them to match easier for the same Master Pedestal setting.
