Has anyone tried matching footage from these cameras?
If so please share your experience. Thanks.
I have the AF and the PX, just wondering what'll
be easier for weddings.
Here are two I did with both the HPX170 and the AF100. They both were the first week I had the camera (actually back to back), so I did not have much time to tweak it nor did I have a calibrated monitor around, so I shot them both at the default settings with cine-v. We did not have time to color correct them as we did same day edits on both. The password for both clips is 'Rush'
I've seen these videos. Which parts were actually the HPX and how did you go about editing them? Did you ingest them both as ProRes HQ in FCP or what did you do?
We ingested the AF100 footage as Prores422LT, and the HPX was brought in natively as DVCproHD, and we edited them both together in FCP, and rendered when done. For a larger shoot I would have made them both ProRes422. With the AF100, I have heard you don't gain much from 422 or 422HQ except for a larger file size, and that LT is sufficent, so for my smaller work it is fine.
Anyway, the HPX was used in the zumba one as a second camera for some of the dance scenes (you can tell if you look when they cut between them, the HPX was mostly for the handheld stuff.) It was also for the reaction shot of the guy in the office when they are dancing at their desk. In the second video, we used it for the wide shot, and had the 85 f/1.4 on the AF100 for the CU.
