GH3 Match / Intercut footage with Canon DSLRs

Has anyone recently found a comfortable workflow for matching GH3 footage with Canon DSLR footage? Is it easy, doable and/or worth it? Or is it just downright better to stick to all-panasonic or all-canon? This is for events, interviews, general videography. Thanks in advance for any thoughts!

i reluctantly use a couple of Canon 600D's with my GH3. I use Technicolor Cinestyle for a flat look, try to match it as much as possible in post but there's a difference there you just have to accept.

Hmm. I wonder I anyone has tried it with other Canons like the 5D or 7D. Maybe there's a little more flexibility in post?

I've cut GH3 and 5D footage together on a few projects.
I shoot both as flat as the cameras allow and cut in FCPX with Filmconvert as a start to most CCing.
Honestly the biggest issue initially was the lack of resolution in wider shots and action shots from the 5D vs the GH3.
Likewise initially it took a little practice getting as much of an organic look from the GH3 to match the FF Canon, but the killer Oly 45 and 75mm primes combined with Filmconvert really brought the GH3 into that realm - with a lot more detail.

I see. Many thanks. That's extremely helpful. I'm just curious how much EXTRA work you think it adds. I mean, you might still use Filmconvert and the Olys with your GH3 anyway, so at the end of the day are we talking additional minutes or additional hours to match the two cameras?

Thanks again!
