FS7: Match A7S to FS7

Best way to match these is to shoot both Slog (2 or 3) or some PPs that match fairly well. But do a test shoot and shoot a Macbeth chart then go into Resolve and use the built in chart correction. Do a few more tweaks until you are happy and then make Luts from those results. Then use these LUTs in your NLE. If you use FCPX get LUT utility from ColorGradingCentral.com and see the tutorial there on how to build LUTs using MacBeth charts.

This works for any cameras as well as anything.

You can do the same thing if you have live scopes and actually build PPs in each camera, but this is much more work.

Thanks Olof. I'll try that.
How about the fact that one is rated 2000 ISO(fs7) and the other 3200 ISO(a7s)?

Expose both correctly, and if using custom mode, set WB correctly on both.

The biggest difference IMHO is that the A7s is noisier. But this can be fixed in post in several ways one is to add film grain after using noise suppression on the A7s and just add grain on the FS7.

Use lenses that match as well.
