I know a lot of people have discounted the long end of this lens (soft), but I've recently rediscovered it on the GH4 and I'm really enjoying it. Were you on sticks?

Yes I was on sticks but I have shot handheld and it is manageable. It's mega ois as opposed to power.

I was at the US Open last year and sitting in the nose bleed section. GH2 with the 45-200 at the long end in ETC mode (almost 1000mm FOV), handheld, and still managed to get some amazingly clear close up shots of the players.
