Marumi ND2-ND400 Variable ND Filter

Has anyone tested the Marumi Var ND Filter? It has impressive reviews from it non variable ND Filters but I haven't seen a post on the new Variable version.

The vari-NDs are in a completely different category. Looking at the price tag, it'll most likely possess typical issues that even the pricier vari-NDs have -- cross polarization after 6 stops and IQ drop off after focal length past 100mm. There's really no vari-NDs that does more than 6 stops. Any NDs that advertize having more than 6 stops is just a gimmick (will only usable up to 6 stops).

Thank you for your advice. Do you have links to tiffen vari ND tests/reviews?

I have seen example where there was nearly no degradation pass 100mm from even diy variable ND. It is not because the popular lightcraft one has this issue that others have the same. I am very curious about this make as I have seen test where the Marumi where some of the best and better than the Tiffen ND (at least standard one). If this one is good even with 6 stop it could be a breakthrough for price performance compared to the cheap bad ones and the more expensive $ 400+ ones.
