marquee tool

Marquee has always crashed on me too. I just stopped trying. oh- I have an Avid approved system. I wish it would work- it looks like it might do some nice stuff.
 
I love the Marquee tool. It was such a nice step up from the Title Tool. Billy, try the latest version of Avid like I recommended. Let me know how it goes.
 
yeah my marquee tool used to work its a great tool but when i upgraded to 5.6 it stopped working. im going to buy me a flash drive this wkend to download the upgrade i hope that does the trick. the upgrade works the same way i have to delete avid from the computer as if it never had it and then run the upgrade correct? also when i wanna clear out the flash drive to make room for the next avid upgrade in a few months when it comes out that is to put it on a dvd do i have to burn it cuz everytime i try to put something on a dvd like a song my drive always says insert disc but when i put a cd it does it with out a prob. ill let you know how everything goes on monday dc thanx.

Normally, just launch the installer and it will automatically uninstall previous versions before it installs the new versions.

If you want to keep this latest version of Avid saved then you will have to find another place to put it. I'm assuming that you're using a single flash drive to download Avid to each time. So you can burn it to a disc or another hard drive or whatever. Not sure why you can't burn DVD's - it sounds like you may not even have a DVD-compatible drive.

Also, I don't want to sound like a punk, but could you please use some punctuation in your posts? One long, run-on sentence can be a little hard to decipher sometimes. Thanks! :thumbsup:
 
Sorry for the grammar but im here at work and i have to type fast cuz i cant have anyone see me online. yeah thats why i want the flash drive so i can use it to download avid upgrades and then put them to a disc for long term storage. i have a dvd burner but i dont have any dvd authoring software but i dont need authoring software in order to put information on a dvd do i?
 
I hear ya. You don't need to author a data disc. Just use something like Nero to burn data.
 
I have never found a sistuation where I could productively use marquee. I'd only use it when in need of motin blur, a bevel or nice animated drop shadow and it's just way too dang slow to mess with. AE is still yer buddy to this very day.
I know, it's been a dozen years since the 3D DVE was released and we still havta to our animating in after effects.
