[WTB] marketplace feedback system. What are your thoughts?

i think feedback score is misunderstanding.
got negative from senior member who could do that to someone 'younger' on this forum. i was right, he was wrong, but i got my negative score and now some do not trust me as a buyer. he is a senior, so can do whatever he wants. on RED User we do not have feedback and it is 100% better than here. people know each other.
this is my opinion.

Sorry to hear that. I was tempted on that sale and from the description it did sound mint as mint. Post pics. There has to be a way mod can clear up inaccurate feedbacks for both parties if this does recur in the future

Generally it is hard to send pictures of dust inside optics ;) I've cleaned it in one of the best Warsaw Photo Services, paid about 50 USD and now it is nice and clean. But it is not the point. The point is that someone who has history here ruins history new members like me and he is unpanished.
Generally for me it is misunderstanding. I just said "i have to clean it and pay 50 USD" NOT "i want 50 USD partial refound for cleaning it". I'm very calm person, but You know... word to word and became very nervous and unpleasantly.
I hope Moderators can revise those feedbacks and all Fedbakc here. I start to collect green ones now and i'm 100% sure this first one was 100% misunderstanding. But now, some users asking me about PayPal Gift payments, so no trust. And gift payment do not cover scams. So i can't buy some items here or i'm afraid scams. That's why feedbacks are no good and better is to ask other about new or senior members (RED User Forum People do that).

I've bought a few things in the last couple of months, and only one person has left feedback. I tried and couldn't figure out where to initiate the process. It doesn't have to be eBay, but could use some fine tuning.

Given that two people were able to point me in the right direction (in this thread) I was able to get it done . . . left feedback for the two folks who sold me audio recording equipment.
My interest is primarily in leaving positive feedback for people I might "feel" like I know but in reality wouldn't know if I fell over them.
On the negative side . . . I don't have any great interest in giving bad feedback as there are other more appropriate remedies (which I why I don't gift money to anyone other than family members).
On the subject of "gifting" payments . . . I know there's a lot of that and hey, whatever floats your boat . . . but I'm not comfortable with the concept of trying to make a claim for merchandise after giving money (but that's probably just me).
Yeah, it saves the seller a couple bucks but leaves the seller unprotected and, while there are many old sayings, an important one is "let the buyer beware."
This (my) addendum to this thread probably belongs somewhere else but I'm just saying, communication is key.
In the time I've been a member here I have bought and sold many times and only had one negative experience, and that one was clearly a misunderstanding between myself and the seller.

I'd say that people who come here only to buy and sell should be discouraged. Here with Artur, we have an example of that. He seems to think that being a member here for a while accords veterans certain privileges to which he is denied. The differences that he seems unaware are the fact that some have spent a few years contributing to discussions and learning here and successfully sold many items, while he considers DvxUser nothing but a flea market.

Its good I just wish the feedback system was used more. I am planning on selling two of my canon lenses and was going to make a post here soon but since I have no ratings (only 1 transaction on this site and the seller didn't give me feedback) I'm not sure how will view me. I also havent ran in to issues but then again I try to buy from people who actually spend some time on other parts of the forums.
