Market Info, Please?

Hi, All--

Thinking I'll be needing to sell my DVX. It's an original model (no A, no B), absolutely pristine mechanically, electronically, and cosmetically. Under 10 hours use in 2 years. All original accessories. I'd throw in the cool Kata soft case, a couple of extra long-life batteries, and two sealed 5-packs of Panasonic 60-min tapes. Just wondering if one--or five--of you real DVX mavens could hint at a fair asking price for this stuff, since I'm not really up on current values.

And for that matter, if you're at all interested yourself, gimme a shout, hey.

Many Thanks!

I would be very interested, but as I'm sure you're not looking for a long term lay-away on a rock bottom price :) I'll have to just cross my fingers for you that it will sell quickly and for top dollar.

I'm not the right person to give a value price for you, but if you look back over the past couple pages in the marketplace there have been several cameras put up for sale, or sold. That should give you a good idea what they go for.

Good Luck,
Larry

Thanks, Larry. I have been checking around, both here and places like Ebay. I thought maybe $2k plus shipping for the whole shootin' match? Whaddya think, folks?

By the way, sorry if I seem tentative about this. I just hate to sell, even though I've hardly used the camera in the last 2 years.

The general price has been ranging about $1500-$1800 for the camera with battery and original accessories.

Regarding any extras, those are normally selling at 50-75% of original purchase price depending upon condition. I haven't seen many DVX100's go for more than $1800 since the A & B were released.

Hope this helps...

Thanks much there, Yankee. Seems a reasonable range. Think I'd put my DVX at the upper end, given its condition (virtually new). Other items' value should nudge it to right around $2k, no? Could be I should just start a simple "For Sale" thread..

I think $2k sounds fair for an asking price, go ahead and start that "For Sale" thread, worst case someone will make a lower offer and then you can decide to accept/reject it.
