Market for XDCam Training Classes?

I came out of the PVACT meeting tonight with a friend of mine talking up the idea of me putting together a syllabus and marketing a training seminar on the XDCam and how to get the most out of it.
I raised some objections, like I don't have any Emmies or even an ACE to my name, so why would anyone pay $350 for a week long training course from a nobody? He countered by saying that I AM credible and have a great deal of knowledge, as demonstrated at the meeting this evening and that I should publish a web site for the course, stating what would be taught and that videographers with these cameras would prefer live, hands on training over a DVD course.
I told him I'd definately consider this, but I wanted to bounce it off the community first, as I think it's a very tiny number, if any at all.
Anyone here from Connecticut who would consider attending a training course on XDCam?

Not to throw too much cold water on your project, I am not certain how many people can or will attend hands-on training on XDCAM. Now, Red might be a different matter. Those in the XDCAM league might be scraping for every $ they can earn in this market (see the numerous posts on this and "the other board"). There are also resources that range from on-line to Doug Jensen's book. I would have my doubts. But you do not know until you try. This just reflect's one individual's observation of the state of this segment of the industry and I reserve the right to be wrong.

Personally, I tend to agree with your statement, but my friend was so adament about trying this that I promised I would do some research to see if I'm wrong about this. Thanks for your input!
