mine arrived yesterday.. and i gotta say its one of the most bad-assed cameras i have ever used.

It was a little painful switching from Nikon, but im glad now. Things like realtime live exposure preview through the back and the storage options on the 3 are incredible.
 
very nice, just read up on it.

wish i could afford something like that, but honestly, id never use all the features , especially as a guy satisfied by auto mode on our new (used) D50. :/

yeah. i bought the fuji S5 a couple months ago thinking it would hold me to the nikon camp but it was just too slow. Nikon glass kicks ass.. but i bought a couple of canons brand new revamped L series lenses with the III and im pretty impressed.

plus when you pull the shutter it sounds like a machine gun. thats all that REALLY matters.

Ha! Totally. Now if they can only get the shutter to sound like a revving Ferrari, their sales would triple.

It's good I'm not the only one :) The only thing that irritates me is that I can't use automatic exposure, but really, the lightmeter on the D100 isn't really that good anyway.

thats what i said a couple months ago.. then last month after i bought the Fuji S5 (a definate improvement over the D200).. but im telling you, once i tried the Mark III i was sold. its (at least for now) in a class of its own.
 
I always see a couple guys with their Mark III blasting away in the pit or red-carpet and I sit there going... DAMN you D200. I NEED LESS NOISE!!!! LEEEEESSS NOISE!! Give me full frame!!!!! And less noise!!!!

Unfortunately I don't make enough with my photography yet so I can ditch Nikon. But my next body will be the S5. Yah it's slow :( but the image quality gets me needed shots the D200 fails at pulling off.
 
yeah got I got really lucky and got a hook up big time.... but i heard they are rolling in now more and more.
 
LOL- Old S5- killing me, if it was between s5 and D200 I'd keep that D200.
I recently saw a great 5D packaged with the 24-105L for 3800 not to bad? yea.
I'm switching to Canon also, that Dig!c III is amazing! not to mention the mark III and the "wireless" preview right to your mackbook....pfffttt stellar!

What are you doing with all those "old" Nikon's that can't "hold you to their camp"? How about hooking up a fellow "dvxuser" who's made your life a little easier during the fests? :evil:


Woah! Just looked up what the Mark III is...and WOW is that a sweet camera. :thumbsup:
