Mark III Highlight Tone Priority test

Uupsss. I missed that one. All other takes are low ISO and the cat is so clean... Which already answers my question.

HTP gives a smooth highlight roll-off to the mids. Very nice and now w/ the very low ISO noise, doesn't give the same setbacks as the Digic IV used to.
*sighs* still gotta wait for mine it seems.

Just to let you know, that test I shot was on standard. Load up some custom profiles or hit cinestyle, I think you can control your look. Not a big fan of cinestyle though.

Nice tests, will have to try that out. Cool cat; need to have a discussion about processed foods and their health effects (before a moderator locks it down for OT). Book refs: Eat to live, The China Study, The pH Miracle.

"Looks around to see if mods are watching". We try to stay away from processed food in our house (it's a struggle). We don't have a microwave and we steam or stir fry mostly and don't eat much meat. My partner is Chinese.

Now back on topic cinestyle is really hard to focus with, best way to use it is setup your shot with standard or neutral and switch on the take. I shot a short in a natural outdoor landscape, it was a red one shoot and I was shooting b-cam with the MKII. The MKII cinestyle stuff cut really nicely with the red footage. In that environment I think cinestyle really shined. I have to test it against marvels and flaat on the MKIII in different environments.
