mark III and external monitor issues

hi all,

i've been having issues with getting monitor to show picture (using mark iii)...
was good for a while. but suddenly, i won't get picture on monitor and have
to restart whole system (sometimes numerous times) to get it to work.

i believe this is an HDMI issue...but i was wondering if there are particular
monitors that work better with mark III then others? or is it more of a
5D issue?

Could easily be a hdmi issue... most of those cables are crap and will break off at the connection point pretty fast.

I use a TVLogic monitor and when the cable works the monitor works without issues.
