Mark II Metabones EF to NEX E-MOUNT adaptor for FS700

Since I just got the Mark I a few weeks ago, this really bums me out.

What was the friction issue? Does that have something to do with un-mounting the lens? My Mark I seems to work pretty good.

The Bokeh is indeed different on the FS700 model. No corners. Different sensor. Have not tested the Mark II on the FS100.
Tested on F1.4.

I had emailed Metabones a long time ago and registered for them to email me when they had an adapter available.
This was during the previous (square) version. It just so happens that they emailed me tonight with the news
that they had an adapter available for me to buy. So I clicked on the link and pictured was one of the
new adapters with the round hole. I ordered one, so we'll see once I get it.

Did the same thing!

Does anyone know how long would it take to be shipped?

I don't know. However, so far I'm really impressed. PayPal for some reason is
REALLY screwy. They had my old address on file. So I updated it, then paid. However,
in my confirmation email, it gave me my OLD address. So I emailed Metabones to inform
them of the situation. Within 5 minutes I had a email reply, stating they would
ship to my new address. I emailed again and asked if it was a Mark I or Mark II.
Again I had a reply within 5 minutes telling me that it was a Mark II. To top
it off, within a couple hours, I got another email informing me that it had actually
shipped! They seem like they are really on top of things over there at Metabones!

wow, it looks like they have a huge demand on those adapters!

OK, this is kind of funny. I would NEVER have guessed, but I got my adapter TODAY! I can't even get stuff from my own country this fast!
Of course, I DO live in Alaska, which is another country as far as most people in the U.S are concerned. I ordered this thing on a Friday
night at like midnight, and I have it in my hands Tuesday morning! That is unheard of where I live (no road access in my town.)
Metabones has been just amazing with their communication with me (emails returned within 5 minutes) and the speed of their shipping.
Oh yeah one other thing, it's the new Mark II 'round' version as well, which is supposed to do away with the 'bokeh clipping'.

Anyways, on to the funny side.....I now have a Canon EF to NEX adapter.....but no Canon EF lenses! I had no idea it would
get here this fast, I was preparing for a week or two wait. So unlike people who have a bunch of Canon EF glass, and no
adapter, I have a shiny new Metabones Mark II adapter......and no glass to test it with. Crazy. But when I got the email
that 'my place' on their wait list had come up, I figured I better get it while I could. In the meantime, I bid on a nice
EF lens on Ebay, I'm ahead on the bid, but there is like 3 days left on the bid. If I win the bid, I get a GREAT price
on a good lens. But if someone will just outbid me, I can go down to the local shop and buy the lens and have it in hand
instantly! Of course I'd end up paying a lot more. So what will probably happen is that I will wait around with the
leading bid for 3 days, at which time someone will shoot in and outbid me at the last minute and I'll have to go pay full
price anyways......

Better find an old thread than to start a new one.

Here is Metabones' compatibility table:

http://www.metabones.com/sony/buy-eos-nex-adapter

From this list, there isn't a fast zoom lens with image stabilization that their adapter is fully compatible with. By fully compatible I mean manual focus, IS and aperture. I really was hoping that the Tamron 24 - 70mm F2.8 with VC would work. Does anyone have more experience with metabones that their table is not fully showing?

There seems to be a prototype from a japanese called "MUK" that does such adapter with full control, IS AND autofocus !

On one video it seems to work with NEX still cameras but dunno if it's compatible with the FS700...

Tamron 24-70/2.8 VC is in fact on the list, albeit obscured by alphabet soup (full name: SP 24-70/2.8 Di USD VC).
