Just wanted to let you all know that I met and got to hang out with Mark from "American Movie" fame this past weekend at the Eerie Horror Film Fest and he and I got to talk DVX as he is using it to make his new film "SCARE ME".

That is AWESOME! American Movie is one of the best movies ever. He used to have an on-line journal following his attempts to get SCARE ME made but he stopped updating it last winter. I've been looking for recent news on Mark but never could find anything. Thanks for the info!

It's about time he made the switch to DV. The guy was spending way too much money shooting on film (especially when you consider how bad the resulting footage looked).

actually in a weird way i liked the look of Coven overall.  very gritty and dark, but maybe thats just me.  sure thats not what he was going for all the time (he even said that one night about it being inconsistent lighting-wise and whatnot).  anyways yep, scare me is in full swing, he said about 40% done shooting.

I never found a movie that was so inspirational, disturbing, funny and depressing all at once.

Oh boy, that'l legitimize DV film making... Perhaps he could elevate the rep of the DVX like he did the CP16...

I still have nightmares from watching "american movie"
