Does one still have to transcode Mark 2 footage with the new FCPX. I have seen some posts that indicate transcode is no longer needed.. I'm seriously considering getting a Mark 2, I'm very impressed with its image quality. I'm a RED refugee. Wanted my Scarlet but the costs esculated beyond my budget, so this is where my research has brought me.. I do want to keep things simple with the editinog tho... Thanks in advance for you imput..

Don't buy FCPX. With my 5D, I'm editing 4 streams of HD native codec (PnP) in RealTime with GrassValley Edius 6. And that's with some filters. Why waste space converting when you don't have to.

And WOW, I just saw footage from the new Nikon D4. You can output full rez from the HDMI port. And has an audio output monitor. So much more, need to follow this
