FEATURE: MARIANNE - a Swedish psychological horror film, shot on 7D

kinda feeling the undgraded stuff :) but yeh i know its horror so u'll be grading it for sure.
Yeah I've got a guy who's good so I won't have to worry about it.

I want it to look and feel very much like an indie drama though, even though technically it's a horror movie.

EDIT:
Also, the screen I've got at the moment is one of those Samsung Syncmaster that's probably more than five years old. It's impossible to do any type of color correction on it. It's hard enough to just watch anything.
Once I get back home to Gothenburg, I've got my big 1080p 50 inch Samsung plasma I can hook up to the computer if I want to grade something. But that'll be in August.

Final day of July shoot completed yesterday!

We've got one more day of principal photography in August + a few pickup shots, then it's a wrap. FINALLY!

Can't wait to show you guys some of the footage we've got.

How the heck did I miss this? Dude that poster is OC! Seriously. What made you go with art instead of photos BTW? I mean that's classic horror style right there.

Thanks! There's an updated version of the poster that was finished a few months ago. I'll also add a few new screenshots in a while.

The reason I'm going with the artwork is I miss those old VHS covers and photoshopped floating heads suck.

I agree, some of my favorite posters for horror movies are from the 80's, the era of bada** paintings!

Grabs look good, keep us posted!

So, yesterday we wrapped principal photography on MARIANNE.

We had an awesome full day of shooting with Peter Stormare, who's co-starring.

The film stars Thomas Hedengran (Frostbitten, The Invicible, Hamilton, Jägarna) and also co-stars Tintin Anderzon as well as a number of local talents.

Funny as in cool. The girl looks as she needs a haircut though. But it's done very well.
Thanks. It's done by a guy called Johan Fredriksson, who made it based on a really awful pencil sketch I gave him and some old VHS covers I showed him for inspiration.

He's a great guy and gives good deals. Does a lot of artwork for games and stuff, you guys should really check out his website and talk to him if you need conceptual artwork or art posters.

Jawa, is there a new trailer?
Not yet. I started putting one together, but second period of shooting came in the way. There's a rough cut of it, but I'm gonna make something better now that I've got all this beautiful exterior footage as well, and Peter Stormare.

If that happens before the whole thing is cut and graded or after, we'll see. For now I'll concentrate on post production so it'll be ready for festival circuit next year.

So big announcement:

I got the rough cut from the editors today, and I just watched the whole thing from start to finish. VERY exciting.
I'm extremely happy right now.

exiting from the first second, untill the last one ? :-p
Exciting to get it, exciting to watch your first feature for the first time, even if it's a rough cut (or because)
It needs some trimming and music and sound mix obviously, but I've got a really good feeling about this.

So when you watch it again, it won't be for the very first time anymore... How does that feel ? :-p
