We are currently filming in a church. The person on stage is lit up and the room is dark. We are shooting from the back of a dark room zoomed into the lit stage. We are finding out that our XH-A1 loves light and we can't seem to get the camera to shoot cleanly. either the person on stage is washed out or the image is dark. We are newbies and would love some basic setting suggestions on getting a nice clean shot of the stage.
We are shooting 1080i/60i. Our blacks look grainy so we did some three way color correction which helped, but I would rather make sure my initial settings on the camera are perfect so I don't have to tweak later.
thanks in advance for your assistance.
