manual movie mode gf1

I am having some issues and I am not sure if this is working correctly.

I have to reset the movie mode to M after pretty much any change in the camera. I turn it on and set it to M then take some video. If I go to look at the video and come back to the movie mode it is back to auto.

I am not sure what is going on but pretty much between every shot I have to reset it to M to get it to stick. Am I doing something wrong?

This is a limitation of how the Manual Movie Mode hack works on the GF1. The best way to deal with it is to set up the camera exactly the way you want to shoot, and then save it as a Custom Setting. Manual Movie Mode will be restored whenever you select your custom setting.
