GH2 Manual mode gh2 help quick

Hello I have had a gh2 for about a month now and I love it. I mainly use it to film but i am going on a family trip and would like to use it for photography. Now in manual movie mode I don't use anything auto. I like to do manual aperture, ISO, etc. however when I change my mode to manual photo mode (the big M on the dial) I can manually adjust everything but on my LCD screen nothing is changing. I change the f stop to 8 in a dark room and the LCD screen says it's bright but when I take the photo it's super dark and not what the LCD screen had showed before. Is there like a setting somewhere the I need to turn off in order for it to stop auto adjusting. Thanks for your time.

Look for a menu item CONSTANT PREVUE and set that to ON. While you're at it find EPXO.METER and also set that to ON.

CONSTANT PREVUE will have the LCD (and EVF) reflect exposure setting changes you make and the EXPO.METER will show a meter readout at the bottom of the LCD/EVF.

A full article I wrote is a sticky on this site:

The article is the first three posts but you may find a lot of good tips in the rest of that discussion.
