GH2 Manual Focusing while recording - can you get zoomed view?

Hi,
I can not find anywhere, if it is possible to use the focus assist (zoomed) view while recording. It works fine before recording.

I find it difficult in wide angle and low light to check if everything is rightly focused. Currenly I start with the LCD and than look in the EVF.


Does anyone know a work around for this?

Train your eye unless you have an external monitor that has enough resolution or peaking function to assist you. Pretty sure you're locked out of all assistance once you roll.

No focus assist while recording. If you don't have an ext monitor you just have to focus the old fashion way: pick the brightest object along your desired focal plane and focus on it. If you're doing run and gun work a few focus problems are forgivable. The distance meter on the lcd will also give you an approximate idea.
