Manual Focus Makes Scrathing Noise PLEASE HELP

Ok this is basicly a brand new DVX100B. In manual focus you can here what sounds like a piece of dirt or sand under the focus ring becuase everytime i turn the ring it makes this little scratchy noise. In autofocus no sound, its perfectly fine. I took off the lenshood to make sure it wasnt that ring rubbing against that, but that wasnt the problem still makes that sound. Ill post a clip and you can hear it. Is there any way to find out what that is or get it cleaned? PLEEEEASE HELPPPPPP MEEEEE i feel like a wasted a lot of money now. i cant film anything now becuase that sound ruins everything.

I had just the same problem, and got no answer in my thread as well.

My sound just disappeared after a while, and the ring was just fine again.

I have reviewed your noise problem. To fix your problem you really need to get the Focus Ring assembly replaced. The part is $55.08 and we have them in stock.

Do they have covers so you can protect it from sand going in? Especially if you're shooting on a windy day or at the beach.
