Up for sale is a very RARE Leica-R 35mm/f2.0 Summicron Type 1 lens made in Canada. It is in EXCELLENT condition. Comes in original Leica box with the supplied hood and warranty service card.

Serial# 2402948

The glass is flawless. Aperture and focus ring are smooth. No oil on blade. Less than average wear on the paint from handling.
This lens is definitely special. It has a character that no other lenses can compare. It does flare a little (considering the lens coating from that era). But it is always sharp. When it flares, it flares with character. It is creamy. It reminds me of childhood :-)

It also focuses in "right" cine direction. This is how it looked when I put my focus gear on:

For $10, I will include a Leica-R to Canon EOS adapter. (No AF chip) For another $10, I can include a Hoya HMC 48mm UV filter. I always kept this filter on at all time.

I'm selling this because I'm moving on to a Olympus 14-35mm 2.0. I need the funding.

Let me look for some footage. Not sure if I can find it.
But I can definitely take some photos.

I took the gear off. But i can reinstall it if you prefer that way. But that will be an additional $100 extra.
That includes the focus gear ring, the witness mark ring, and the distance scale I made. You won't believe how much time, brainstorming and experimenting it took me to design a way to adopt me lenses for cine. It is much more than just installing FF gear. I created a distance scale that is accurate down to feet and inches viewable on both sides of the lens. The AC can pull focus by running tape measure.
