Hi all, this was the day first time I took the camera out for shooting. It was a very hazy day... but I didn't care!

(I didn't have any camera experience prior to this) or knew what the menu options did at the time.

Re: Manhattan Beach pics

The pic with the duck flying is great...
Also the straight ahead slope road looks good...

Good compositions.

Re: Manhattan Beach pics

Those were amazing!!! I can't believe you had NO camera experience prior to this. The DVX is great, but it's not that great.

Ok, it's that great. But come on!!! Look at those shots, ...The mans a pro. He's got a natural eye for photography and composition.

Re: Manhattan Beach pics

Wow! ;D
Thanks for the compliments folks.

Well, I didn't have any camera experience, but I was a 3D animator for 5 years and have been an film editor for the last 2 years. So that might have something to do with it. But man.. my hand hurt so bad after filming this stuff. I was like...I need to work out more!

I just got inspired by some of the people here when I was browsing the forums before I got the camera. I must have looked at Rich Lee's website 20 times. (The one where he goes and films the carnival) Love that guy's style.

Greechies, actually the camera I took out with me stock. The only attachment was a Sennheiser-64 mic I rented that weekend. The water was actually REALLY far from the deck of the pier. at least 20+ feet to the surface of the water & it wasn't windy.

Re: Manhattan Beach pics

Nice shots WaveRiderXIX. You are going to drive the house prices up even more here.

Re: Manhattan Beach pics

Hey thanks guys.

Do you guys recommend any service providers?

I just want something I can put my movie clips & stuff I've worked on up there. Right now I am using Photobucket.com which is free. But wanted to find something to host movies.
