Hello

I want to attach my QR adapter to a shoulder pad, and need a few screws of the type that goes into the corners of the 577 QR adapter.

In this drawing, you can see the 4 mounting holes directly underneath the QR plate. One hole in each corner, slightly recessed to allow freedom for the plate on top of the screws.

Where can i order these screws? Not very easy to find by google.

Not sure if there are any replacements to order directly from Manfrotto as their spare part PDF dosen't list any. Assuming we are talking about the same screws that is ?

Those aren't threaded holes. Whatever screw fits through them will work (As I recall, they're counter-sunk/tapered).

For a while I used a block of plywood on my crane head to get the plate up high enough to turn the lock. I just used wood screws that fit into the countersunk holes.

For a shoulder mount, you'd need nuts/bolts, or have a shoulder pad that could be screwed into.

Another alternative - drill the holes out wider and tap to take a 1/4-20 thread (check to make sure they're narrower than the bit for 1/4-20). The three mounting bolt holes in the mechanism are 1/4-20, 3/8-16 (both standard photo sizes) and... something odd. All of mine, I've drilled that hole out for 3/8. All you need is the proper bit, a tap, and some oil.. maybe ten bucks and ten minutes.

Drilling and tapping holes is the one skill every videographer should have... and it's easy. A $90 Harbor Freight drill press is a bonus...
