Manfrotto 546 legs experience- opinions please!

After about a year of owning the 502 head/leg kit, The legs are no longer acceptable. They come loose very often and even once I tighten them back down there is a torsional flex that makes plans jerk back at the end. The most logical solution that I can see is keep the 502 head and buy some 546 legs. Before I just do it, I wanted to make sure that I wasn't setting myself up for more problems. So for those of you that have had them for a while, do they stay stiff and perform as they should for the long term? My 502's seemed fine for a few months, but then it just started crapping out. If they also aren't up to par, what would you suggest?

Thank you.

Also, any reason to pick the GB model over the B?

Which legs did you get bundled with the 502 head?

I've had the 546B legs for a few years now and they're holding up just fine. The difference between B and GB is that B is a mid-level spreader and GB is a ground-level spreader. That's really up to personal preference and how you work. Personally, I like the mid-level spreader.

I had the 502 legs as well. I wasn't really sure what the pros and cons of the different spreader locations were, but mid level spreader is what I'd go with by default.
