Does the 502 take the same plate as the MVH500? If so, I'm interested.

It takes a 504PLONG plate.

The 504PLONG plate can be used with the MVH500 head, but the MVH500 Plate does no fit with the 502HD.

SO..... as long as you use 504PLONG plates or other older plates they are compatible with both heads, but if you use the MVH500 plate it is not compatible to anything else except teh MVH500.

Oh the 501pl plate goes on this 502hd head with no problem.

It is only the MVH500 head design that is not compatible.
