I am selling a Manfrotto tripod. It is the 546b aluminum legs with 501hdv head. This head has been discontinued for the new 500 but I loved it. It is extremely smooth and functions perfectly. The head is in excellent condition with one small ding on the friction wheel that does not effect functionality at all. The head also easily comes off the bowl so it is great to use for sliders, jibs, etc.
The legs are in great shape except that one of the lower level clamps slips a little bit. The adjustment allen screw is stripped and will not tighten. I never had a chance to get it fixed from Manfrotto and was just taping the leg when I needed to go high up on my last few shoots with this setup.
The legs are extremely stable and great for large sliders, etc. The mid level spreader works flawlessly and allows the legs to get pretty low.
I am upgrading to a lighter CF setup so that is why I am selling. A handy person can probably quickly fix the leg on their own or have it fixed by Manfrotto. This kit was almost $600 when I purchased and besides the one leg is in excellent condition. I am including the legs, head, and baseplate. No bag is included.
Quick release plate is not included just the original baseplate and screws.
