Man on fire spoof

Yes, I've been very bored lately, so I'm just playing around with my new NLE.
For those who have seen "man on fire" and "domino", can clearly see that
Tony Scott and his editors has gone completely insane. So I dug up some footage
of me and my friend playing with our blank guns, and went epileptic. It was fun, though.

It's 40 secs long and 8mb. Quicktime h.264.

oh wow! nice editing...and nice guns! where did you buy them? did the bullet shells, smoke, and muzzle flashes actually come from the guns?

I used Premiere 2.0. The guns come from www.modelguns.co.uk, expensive, but good equipment. The bullet shells and smoke is from the gun. The only place
where muzzle flash was added is when we are shooting in the blue hallway.

-cheers! :)

Yeah, I know. My english isn't totaly up to date, I just meant going banans like they do on "domino"(which i think is way overdone and hard to watch
for 2 hours) :)

Holy sh!t, those guns are expensive. They'd be fun to have, but not worth that... I'd rather go out and buy the real thing.

Yeah, I'm getting a real one as well pretty soon, but I don't think it would be clever of me to use it inside my house :)

It's from a DVX-100E(pal), some of it was interlaced, since I wanted to test some slow-motion and the rest was progressive, everything was shot at a 1/120 shutter.

That was nice. Those guns are really good. The only way though that I could justify the price was if I was doing a lot of action and was renting out myself and the guns to other productions

Good point. I'll bet there's plenty of people out there that would be willing to rent those bad boys... or at least enough to make your money back.

Hey, nice shots.
The guns are also pretty cool. I have owned a real AK-47 and a Makarov. Really cool guns. But not toys, of course. Thansk for the link, I may get one of those toys as I am a guns collector. All the ones I have are plastic ones.

I would love to test an AK-47, I got my hands on one when I was in the army
but we couldn't get a hold of any ammunition to match, too bad :)
Gotta love the geurilla safety pin order on the AK: "safety, full auto, and then single fire" :)

hey, do those guns require a license to use? I would want to get at least one for my movie. make it look more real, and pass the gun around to different actors after different shots so it can seem like most of them are using it...haha...do they give muzzle flashes themselves? I'm really interested in these...

oh, I saw the video, and they don't give muzzle flashes. they don't even give out loud noise. it's just for the bullets flying out and the smoke and the back action. am I right?
