Man of Steel

Longer trailer. I don't know. I'm not crazy about the look of it the more I see. Henry Cavill looks and sounds spot on as Superman though.

I thought the trailer looked pretty awesome and it appears to already look better than Returns. Also, Michael Shannon is such an awesome actor.

I hope this movie does well though. I'm such a huge DC fan and would love to finally see DC expand their comic universe past Superman and Batman.

I really can't put my finger on it. Maybe it's that the live action footage has a nice, realistic look to it, but the effects work looks like over produced CGI stuff cut in from Sucker Punch. I liked the teasers much more.

Looks incredible. Best trailer for a summer blockbuster I've seen in awhile. The build-up, the score, the visuals, all while not really giving anything away? And the crew behind this? And the cast?

Opening weekend, my friends. Opening weekend.

I didn't like this new trailer that much, but I was sold from the 2nd trailer. This did not lower my expectations. Can't wait!

I reckon this is one of the best trailers I've seen in a long time. Its a masterpiece of editing really, with so many different things going on; the melancholic beginning, the build up, that first musical crescendo at 1.30 (cut to the first heroic image of him) and then going into the epic action sequence cut to some really awesome music.

I get the feeling the movie will be a let down after watching that trailer!

i'm not near 'knowledgeable' about trailers, but I always actually feel that way after every trailer i see

actually... come to think of it i remember a couple movies i swore i wouldn't see based on random viewing of their trailers, but then did see the movie and was completely blown away since i hadn't gotten the essence of the movie from trailer

i think i felt like that about 'tucker and dale vs evil'

I guess they've ditched the magnificent heroic "superman theme" by John Williams, or are they saving that as a surprise in the movie? The remake of that theme in "returns" was even better than the original, I thought.

In some shots, superman has a beard and in others he is clean shaven. I wonder what razor is able to handle the man of steel?

Reminds me of when Howard Stern postulated that Superman must be uncircumcised for the same reason.

Funny.

Or circumcision is not practiced on Krypton? Of course, all this becomes a moot point if those superman action figures all turned out to be anatomically correct.

Latest trailer. Like it much more than the last one, as many shots are held for longer than 1/10th of a second.

Saw this Sunday at an advance screening on base. Theater had 1,114 capacity and "sold" 1,114 tickets. Film was awesome. It felt a little rushed, just a little, but I imagine the inevitable Director's Cut will sort that out. Cavill did a good job as Supes; he was the only one I was really worried about, particularly because most of the marketing has focused on other characters talking about him, or to him, rather than showing off Cavill's own acting (the later trailers showed a little more, and like I said, Cavill held his own).

There was a good deal of "shaky cam" that started to take me out of the film at times, but I'd be hard-pressed to say I've seen a film with as constant or explosive of action as MOS. Overall, very good movie. Looking forward to the newly-greenlit sequel.
