Man of Steel

I'm sure the handcuffs, if they're even in the movie, are largely symbolic. Superman is a law-abiding character, and if the the authorities decided to arrest him for a legitimate reason, he'd comply.

This exact thing has happened numerous times in various Superman media. Usually, the cops even comment that the cuffs, or even the jail cell, are pretty useless.

Whats the difference between zack snyder and a gh2?

Ones a giant hack
the other is a gh2

:P

I like Snyder. But this was pretty funny.

What are the handcuffs made out of?

The answer is simple.

Kryptonite

Not possible, unless you meant this as a joke and I miss the point. But as we all know Kryptonite hurts him and he doesn't seem to be in pain in this pic. So maybe like others are saying, he is just complying with authorities or maybe it's something else...lol the plot thickens.

As a comic geek, I'm on the fence until I see the trailer.

This actor and this suit do not immediately make me think of Superman. My geekdom channels these images to an area in my brain reserved for fan films.

I'm really excited to see Zack Snyder return to more grounded filmmaking. His remake of Dawn of the Dead was excellent (especially for his debut feature), and the man clearly has an eye for sensational visuals. I hope the presence of the Nolans will help balance out some of his directorial issues, and the result will be an all-around excellent blockbuster experience.

Watching it a few times, I'm not fond of the look of the Krypton stuff, mainly the costumes, and I think Snyder crushes his blacks too much for my taste, but I love the tone they struck. And Henry Cavill looks and sounds just right for the role, in a way that doesn't ape Chris Reeve's performance too much.

Wow...I like this trailer a lot.
Me too.

Won't be the first words I've eaten:
@CallaghanFilms: Hiring director Zack Snyder is about as good an idea for Superman as steeplechase was...

But then again, in my

I absolutely love this trailer. This is the first superhero trailer in a long time I think that just focuses on the narrative rather then a whole bunch of stuff blowing up. That alone is gettiing me excited to see this. Story before visuals it seems like.

But I'm sure there will be lots of stuff blowing up anyway so glad they chose to go this direction with the trailer, even more excited than I already was.

Oh and I love the music as well. It gave me goose bumps and some parts. GREAT TRAILER!!!

Shame on you Callaghan for saying this lol

There is part of a track from the Gladiator OST in there, so some Zimmer is included.

I don't think so:

Immortal Memory (2004): "Elegy" - Lisa Gerrard & Patrick Cassidy - Played during the first half of trailer #2.
Elizabeth: The Golden Age: "Storm" - A.R. Rahman / Craig Armstrong - Played in the second half of trailer #2 .

This trailer gives me hope. It feels right, and it's a welcome change. The old movies will always be there, and I think Superman needs a new approach. I love that it's about his identity and trying to find a place in this world.

Also in terms of him getting arrested, even if the handcuffs were made of something he couldn't break through, I'm sure he'd be able to kill (or hurt) everyone of those soldiers in the blink of an eye, before or after he's arrested. Or he'd just fly away. However that's not who superman is.

Lisa Gerrard is one of the composers on Gladiator.
Elegy sounds pretty similar to this track from Gladiator (not the same but similar): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_l-PzR_xlj4
