SERIOUS WARNING.
I was reading the (very interesting) guides from the link on latest DVX articles (this page's parent) was at "jorenclarke.com" and was also sent to "bealecorner.com" - I had two or three windows open and suddenly my desktop started refreshing - did a refresh 4-6 times in a row then all icons and tasbar disappeared. Now can't do anything on pc. Think I'm going to have to erase all and re-install windows.
DON'T VISIT BEALECORNER.COM !!! - I now know this is where it came from.

I've been to bealecorner.com a number of times and never had any problems. I just tried and again--no problems. I think your problems must be related to something else.

Yeah, Bealcorner has been a respected site for a long time, he may be infected, but it's more likely something at your end that just cooincidently manifested itself at the time you hit that site...

Almost certainly a coincidence. You may have been hijacked. Close every program running in background, (alt, ctrl, del) run a full virus scan from boot (make sure you have up to date virus files). Download an anti-hijack program if you can and do that as well. If you don't have a firewall you have to get one!. Good luck, it won't be fun. :'(

:) Hey !! - I fixed it !!      Virus scanning from a safe mode bootup then from the infected desktop found nothing, -Inspite of having a firewall and newly updated virus scanning - I was saving something from the link to my desktop ( my normal downloaded pre-sorted file destination ) It was either from Jorenclark.com or bealecorne.com . but i noticed it was user specific , logged on as guest was fine - until I listed desktop in explorer - then screen was cleared -
SO !  - out with the old DOS commands - booted up in safemode with DOS prompt - did a     dir /p     and noticed a file called      BLOCK.PNG 684369 dated today.
Then did a          del block.png          and all seems fine !

I hope no one else needs this info. Thanks for your responses guys. It could be from elsewhere but I'd only just logged onto DVXuser ( my dial-up homepage ) then into news then "great guerilla info " topic , then POW!!! lost PC !
Anyway seems DOS has saved my bacon - advantage of being old!!! - I never did really trust windows ! -

Re: VIRUS INFECTED Great Guerilla guide LINK ? war

yup - it was from bealecorner.com - I checked malicious file's shortcut's address and it's in amongst the trv900 files. Bealecorner's "webmaster" will know about this. I wonder why it's there ? - cost me a couple of days lost work. - I hope no one else gets it.
